Penn-Ohio Morgan Show Rains Ribbons
It was a bit wet and stormy, but our Morgans are Mudders and they came through with flying colors! Leading the way was Ledyard’s Lucky Lucas as he won the Three Year Old Stallions In Hand and then bested the group as the Senior and Grand Champion Stallion for William Haines’ Ledyard Farm. LPS Forever Hopeful (Town Assets x CHMH Grand Gift of Honey), a full sister to World Champions CHMH Spice Town Girl and Portfolio, charged right through the Mares In Hand by winning her Two Yr Old class, Junior Champion Mare and then Grand Champion Mare for Ledyard Farm. Continuing Ledyard’s winning streak was LPS Endless Love (Man In Motion x Illicit Love), who captured a win in the Junior Horse Park Saddle with Lynn aboard. Another super young Ledyard entry, Ledyard’s Maximilian (Town Assets x Mendon Belle Amie) made his harness debut and was second in Two Year Old Pleasure Driving with Lynn on the lines.
Kathy enjoyed jogging to the top of the Open Western Pleasure Championship with HL My My (HyLee The Rage x Hip Heath Teardrop), Holly Seavitt’s beautiful black mare. My My was also the winner of the Ladies Western Pleasure and was second in Western Pleasure Mares.
Cynthia Brown Clark had two good rides aboard RGR Moonshadow (RGR Blue Moon x Regal Rose), winning the Hunter Pleasure Amateur Stallions/Geldings and pulling a strong fourth place in the Amateur Championship. Also enjoying success in the hunter pleasure division was Cherrydale Ariella (Minion Millennium x Cherrydale Gabriella), Robin Herrick’s gorgeous young mare who made a clean sweep of the Junior Hunter division here after winning the Junior Mares qualifier and then taking the crown in the Junior Horse Championship.
EKL Utopia (Man In Motion x MJL Electra) and new owner Cathy Miller showed them how it was done by winning the Classic Pleasure Driving Championship after earning a good reserve in Classic Pleasure Driving Mares. We know this team is heading to the stars and will enjoy every step of the way!
Cherrydale Regal Touch (The Master’s Touch x Cherrydale Irish Rose), another outstanding young horse bred and owned by Robin and Neil Herrick, made his saddle debut here and brought home two wins in Junior English Pleasure Stallions/Geldings and the Junior Horse English Pleasure Championship with Kathy in the irons. He is available for purchase and will be a great choice for a future junior exhibitor or amateur entry.
Alex & Deborah Cojocar’s home bred ADC Man Alive (Man In Motion x Queens Midori) made his saddle debut with Ashley Young to win the Junior Horse Classic Saddle qualifier, and even made an excellent showing against the senior horses in Ladies Classic Saddle. This sporty gelding is available for purchase, you can find more information about him here or by visiting his listing on MorganShowcase.com.
Erdenheim Farm LLC puts their faith in Moe Tall (Man In Motion x Illustra Aurora), and this exciting park harness stallion turns in the winning performance time after time. Lynn drove Moe to the win in Open Park Harness and then wrapped up the Park Harness Championship in fine style.
